The Stratham Fair is just around the corner and planning is well underway. This year’s Fair committee is working on bringing new attractions to the fair grounds this year.
Sponsorships allow your business the opportunity to reach over 24,000 patrons of the Fair. As a supporter of the Stratham Fair you help support all of the non-profit organizations in Stratham that benefit from the Fair. If you supported us in the past, thank you for your support. New sponsors are always welcome. If you haven’t advertised with the Fair in the past, we hope you will consider taking advantage of this unique promotional opportunity while supporting your community.
Advertising space and sponsorship opportunities for this year’s Fair are limited so please act quickly to take advantage of this opportunity to reach tens of thousands of your customers or potential customers while supporting the tremendous volunteer spirit in Stratham.
In order to publish and distribute the program book, all program book advertising must be received by April 1. Sponsorships received after the deadline may not be included in the program book.
The Stratham Fair has grown from a small lobster bake and picnic held to thank fire department volunteers to a blockbuster Festival and agricultural Fair attended by over 24,000 people in just four days. Activities at the Fair continue to provide fun family entertainment through the rides and games of the midway, magical and musical entertainment on two fabulous stages, and traditional Fair contests like the pig scramble, along with the famous pie eating and baking competitions, and now a major fine arts and crafts exhibit. The 4H shows, agricultural displays and horse and oxen pulling events continue the agricultural traditions of the region and introduce them to new generations of area families. The traditional Lobster Bake and Chicken Barbeques are great opportunities to enjoy the culinary delights of several local families and spend time with old and new friends. All these events are capped off with the annual fireworks display at the close of the Fair on Sunday night.
Organized by members of the Stratham Volunteer Fire Department, the Stratham Fair benefits the Fire Department as well as numerous community non-profit organizations. Among those are: 4H, Grange, local church groups; Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops; Stratham Recreation Commission; boys and girls softball and baseball; and the Historic Society. After making donations to those and other community groups and paying expenses, the remaining proceeds from the Fair support the fire department to help offset the cost of apparatus and equipment that helps provide fire protection, rescue and emergency medical services to the Town of Stratham and the greater seacoast area through Mutual Aid responses.
The Stratham Volunteer Fire Department is among the largest all volunteer fire departments in the State. Last year the fire department answered nearly 500 calls for assistance resulting in over 3200 responses by more than 50 different members. None of these members receive any compensation for their time responding to calls, training, performing property inspections, regular maintenance on the apparatus or fire prevention education. The commitment of these volunteer responders is a tremendous asset, saving the town hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in payroll savings alone. The Fair provides additional funds to help equip these volunteers with state-of-the-art protective clothing and equipment to continue serving you. Proceeds from previous Fairs have also helped the Stratham Volunteer Fire Department contribute up to 50% of the cost of new trucks and ambulances, a direct savings to taxpayers.
We appreciate the support of the hundreds of the volunteers that help during the Fair and the financial support of our sponsors and advertisers. We know that without tremendous support from the greater Stratham community the success of the Fair is not possible. We will continue to rely on your generosity and assistance to help us succeed.
