Read & Win– Free admission to the fair!

Stratham Fair Expands Reading Program
Again, this year children from around the Seacoast can earn free admission to the 40th Annual Statham fair by reading library books through the “Read & Win” program. Introduced to the fair three years ago through the Wiggin Memorial Library, the program is available to K-8 students. Participants receive a ribbon bookmark and free admission to the Fair. “This program has been a great success in Stratham for the past three years and we are happy to expand it throughout the area“ said Stratham Fair Director Rob Cook.

Children are asked to fill in a log of which books they read and the amount of time spent reading during the Read & Win program and return the log to their local library to receive their reward. The reading goals vary by age.

Andra Copeland will be coordinating the program for the Stratham Fair and will be contacting local Libraries to introduce the program and for their assistance in administering the program.

“The fair is built on the tradition of giving back to the community and this program continues that tradition at the most fundamental level. Encouraging and fostering a child’s interest in reading is giving a gift for life.”

Stratham, Exeter and Brentwood are currently participating in this program. Ask your library for details.
