4-H Working Steer Shows

Superintendents: Bob Pearson, Webster, NH; 648-2428

Classes: Fitting & Grooming-condition and appearance of team, equipment, and teamster's knowledge of the project will be considered. 4-H age is the age of youth as of 1/1/08.

Class 1: Senior Teamster, 14-18 years old
Class 2: Intermediate Teamster, 11-13 years old
Class 3: Junior Teamster, 8-11 years old
Class 4: Stoneboat Performance: Senior and Intermediate teams pull a dead weight equal to 70% the weight of team. Junior teams pull not more than 50% of team’s weight.
Class 5-7: Obstacle Course -Two-Wheeled Cart: Teamsters hitch then negotiate an obstacle course, Senior, Intermediate, and Junior teamsters.
Class 8:Costume Class, Friday, 6 p.m., Please bring descriptive narration. Dress you and your team creatively, tell a story or depict a theme with costumes, promote 4-H or just entertain while having fun…
