ARBA Youth Rabbit Shows
RABBITS WILL BE EXHIBITED FROM 10:00 AM TO 5 PM ON THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SUNDAY
AND FROM 10 AM TO 3 PM ON SATURDAY
A.R.B.A. RABBIT AND CAVY BREED JUDGE: Paul Jurgelonis, Mass.
Rabbit exhibits will be received on Thursday at 8:00 AM. All rabbit exhibits must be in place by 9:30 AM on Thursday. Rabbits are released each evening at 5:00 PM (3 PM on Saturday). They are to return each day by 8:30 AM. N.H. Youth exhibitors must have at least one rabbit on display at the fairgrounds for all four days of the fair in order to receive any premiums. Exceptions will be made if there is not enough cooping for each member to exhibit at least one rabbit. Cavies are not required to be on display all three days of the fair. All rabbits and cavies being shown are to be on the fairgrounds by 8:00 AM the day of the show. All rabbits and cavies are displayed and shown at the exhibitor's own risk.
A health check will be done daily on each animal. Check with the Superintendent for coop numbers and for a health check BEFORE placing rabbits in coops. Coops will be provided for display rabbits. Please bring your show rabbits and cavies in approved wire carriers with a solid bottom. Cages, boxes, cat or dog carriers are not allowed.
Exhibitors must be a YOUTH member of The American Rabbit Breeders Assoc. Out of state ARBA members are welcome to show, but will not receive premiums. Each exhibitor must supply their own hay, water, and feed dishes for each entry. Only youth will be allowed to handle, groom and carry animals to and from the judging table.
Valerie Caswell of Durham, N.H and Aala Shanahan of Epping, N.H. will judge pet Class. An A.R.B.A. Licensed Registrar will be on hand to register rabbits after the rabbit show and showmanship is completed. ARBA rules and regulations will be followed.
