4-H Benefit Auction

Come, bid and have lots of fun at our auction that raises monies to enhance the 4-H Youth Development programs in Rockingham County.  Proceeds from the auction goes to support program scholarships to assist youth in attending major county, state, regional and national 4-H programs like 4-H camp, teen conference at UNH, career trips and project tours.  It also helps leaders attend training conferences and leaders forum.  The benefit auction also funds our college scholarships for 4-H alumni and our 4-H club community service action grants.

Items for the auction are displayed in the 4-H exhibit building during the fair until 4 p.m. on Saturday.  Anyone wanting to donate to the annual 4-H benefit auction may contact the Rockingham County 4-H UNH Cooperative Extension office at 679-5616.  We really appreciate the generosity of so many individuals and businesses who are great Friends of 4-H.

Bring your friends and family to this fun, family friendly annual benefit auction. Stay for a few hours or the entire evening.  Bid high and often!  All money raised goes directly to making our 4-H program even better.

Nelson & Hilda Barker 4-H Scholarship

This college scholarship honors Nelson Barker, who served 22 years as Treasurer of the Stratham Fair and Nelson's wife, Hilda, who was a 4-H volunteer leader. The scholarship presentation is made to a 4-H member with at least three years active involvement in Rockingham County 4-H programs and at Stratham Fair. The award is presented annually at the Miss Stratham Fair Pageant on Friday night. Applications and information on this 4-H scholarship are available from the Rockingham County 4-H program of UNH Cooperative Extension, 113 North Road, Brentwood, NH 03833 or by calling 679-5616. This scholarship is coordinated through the efforts of the Rockingham County 4-H Foundation.
